The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the response of common bean cultivars (Pérola and IAC Una) to topdressed nitrogen (0, 50, 00 e 50 kg ha- of N) in a no-tillage system. The cultivar Pérola, in comparison with IAC Una showed greater response and efficiency in the use of topdressed nitrogen, and this resulted in higher yield. Topdressed nitrogen doses promote linear increase in yield of Pérola in a no-tillage system. Additional keywords: Phaseolus vulgaris, yield components, yield, agronomic efficiency.Published
