Variación genotípica natural de caracteres morfológicos en granos de arroz de secano

El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar las características morfológicas de granos de genotipos de arroz de secano e indicar genotipos con granos con características preferidas por los consumidores de arroz. El experimento se llevó a cabo en bloques al azar, con 42 genotipos de arroz de secano y 4 réplicas totalizando 168 parcelas experimentales. Luego de la cosecha, en una muestra de 20 granos de arroz paddy por parcela se determinó mediante un calibrador digital: GW = ancho del grano (mayor dimensión lateral), GT = espesor del grano (menor dimensión lateral), GL = largo del grano (distancia entre extremos) y GLGW = relación largo-ancho. Los datos fueron sometidos a la prueba F (p < 0,05) y a la prueba de comparaciones múltiples de Scott-Knott (p < 0,05). Los genotipos OSVR15029, OSVR15031 y OSVR15032 presentaron valores de longitud mayores a 6,0 mm, espesor menor o igual a 1,90 y relación largo x ancho mayor a 2,75, características interesantes para el mercado consumidor de granos largos y finos.
