In the last years, the breeding programs of eucalyptus in Brazil have also considered the nutrient use efficiency as a criterion to select superior genotypes, beyond the productivity, wood quality, tree steam, and disease resistance. The nutrient use efficiency of individuals favors the growth and development of eucalyptus plantings. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to comment some questions raised in literature related to selection of superior genotypes, aiming nutrient use efficiency.Additional keywords: eucalyptus; superior genotypes.Published
