Parapiptadenia blanchetii (Benth.) is an endemic species from Brazil, arboreal, with pharmacological potential and knowledge about seed germination contributes to the use of the species. Among the factors that affect germination, temperature stands out, but no studies were found for this species. The objective this papper was to evaluate the effect of temperature (20, 25, 30 and 35 °C) on P. blanchetii germination. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design, with four treatments and four replications. The temperature did not influence the germination percentage, normal, abnormal and dead seedlings. However, the temperature influenced the length of the seedlings, which expressed greater vigor between 26 °C and 28 °C. The percentage of germination and normal seedlings was greater than 80%, so it was not possible to define the cardinal temperatures of P. blanchetii.
